Instead of transmission platforms, oriented and optimized for specific services, with dedicated NTUs – Operators are consolidating their transmission medium to a single platform, versetile in the services it offers, by:

• Versetile local-loop methods as access to the first On-Net PoP,
• Unified NTUs that are optimized for the various services by SW (or FW) packages
